Story Batrep time! Sunday Game against Daemons!

On a cold Fenrisian night, Rune Priest Torvald, of the Great Company of Thorimir Kingslayer, made his way to
one of the great taverns of the mighty Fang. As he made his way into the drinking hall, all around quickly
hushed as the old Rune Priest made his way to one of the fire pits to warm his hands. He noticed all eyes in
the room glued to him and smiled.
"So, I suppose you all want to hear a tale, eh?"
The hall erupted in roars of approval from old greybeards and young pups alike.
"All right then young pups, gather around as I recall the tale of the defence of Galvan Prime."
Many in the hall began to group around the Rune Priest, pushing and shoving to get close enough to hear the
tale. After everyone in the hall settled in around the Priest, a greybeard handed the old man a pint of ale
and he took a long sip of the tankard. After he set it down, he began to recall the images in his head.
"It was a dark and dreary day for Galvan Prime. Chaos had tainted the planet and called up to its gods for aid.
They answered. The planets sky swirled in colors of purples, blacks, reds, and colors that had no name and
couldnt be discribed. And then they came. Dameons and horrors of unimaginable terror and fright. Mighty
Daemon Prince and daemonic plauge-lings. And we fought them with everything we had.
Before they came, Chaos had infiltrated the planet and corrupted many of its inhabitants. Myself and the
company of Thorimir Kingslayer were stationed in the capital city of Galvan Hive to protect its Manufactorums
along with a company of Ultramarines and Blood Angels.
My kinsmen and I were stationed with holding the center of the city with its attena array capable of sending
messages deep through space. The Blood Angels were tasked with holding the port and it's surrounding factories
and the Ultramarines guarding the others.
They Daemons came from the sky. Multi colored lightning bolts and bright flashes struck down from the sky and
mobs of Daemons emerged from where they struck. We were initially hit by plauge bearers, ugly creatures, slow
and tough, able to withstand wounds that would fell a Kraken twice over. There were juggernauts aswell, with
evil bloodletters riding their backs like some calvary force of old. Flesh-hounds and daemonettes also arrived
aswell as a Daemon Prince. We took many casuualties in the first wave as they landed, but we soon regrouped
and gave them the bolter and chainsword. I and the two long fang packs I was with focused our heavy weapons
fire on the biggest of them, knocking them down, one by one as the grey hunters engaged the smaller units.
But the real Saga of the day lies with Grimnar's own champion, Arjac Rockfist!"
Many in the hall roared their approval again, lifting steins and knocking them back.
"Aye, Arjac was their, with old Harald Grimtotem, Wolf Priest of the Great Company of Thorimir Kingslayer.
Together they rode with a pack of Wolf Guard in a Land Raider Crusader. They came to the aid of the grey hunters
already in combat and strode out to challenge the Daemons. In the course of the day, Arjac and old Grimtotem
claimed many daemons from Pink Horrors, Daemon Princes, Seekers, Fiends, Soulgrinders, and more.
But the day was not without its price, for many of our brothers fell. But we will not forget them or mourn their
loss, for they are with Russ and the Allfather now, and we will see them once again at the Wolftime!
Hail the victoriouse dead!"
"HAIL!" was the unified cry of the Hall as they once again knocked back their tankards.
"In the end, the city held, and the world was cleansed of Chaos."
Here are some pictures from the battle.
